Spring brunch and café culture thrives across the North-east, with independents introducing fresh ideas and seasonal menus.

  • In the heart of Royal Deeside, Spider on a Bicycle combines excellent coffee and bakes with a friendly, community feel, perfect for a spring café stop after a countryside adventure.
  • The Murly Tuck in Tarves serves up delicious, handcrafted food with a focus on local ingredients, from hearty breakfasts and light lunches to excellent coffee, making it a lovely stop for a relaxed café break.
  • Blether is a welcoming café on North Deeside Road, known for its artisan coffee, relaxed atmosphere and seasonal food. It’s a lovely spot to pause for a coffee or casual bite while exploring the west end of the city.

Many cafés are dog friendly and feature outdoor seating to enjoy longer spring days with sunshine and good food.
