Scotland’s premier jazz celebration
Aberdeen Jazz Festival returns in March 2026 with over 30 events across 18 venues showcasing the very best in jazz, blues, funk and contemporary sounds from Scotland, the UK and beyond. Over two weeks of performances, workshops, talks and community events invite music lovers of all ages to explore the vibrant live music scene at venues throughout Aberdeen.

What is Aberdeen Jazz Festival?
Aberdeen Jazz Festival has become a cultural highlight of the city’s annual calendar, bringing together world-class performers and emerging talent for concerts, family-friendly music days, workshops and special events. Across atmospheric venues, intimate settings and late-night stages, the festival creates a rich, city-wide celebration of live music and creative expression.

Soundbath – Matt Holborn & Danielle Price
Experience a rare jazz performance inside the historic Bon Accord Baths, closed to the public since 2008. This free, site-specific event features specially commissioned performances by jazz violinist Matt Holborn and tuba player Danielle Price, set within the building’s striking Art Deco interior and unique acoustics. 15 March 2026, performances at 10am, 11am and 12pm. Booking required.
In Conversation: Dame Evelyn Glennie and Fiona Stalker
Join Dame Evelyn Glennie for an evening of conversation exploring her extraordinary career as the world’s leading solo percussionist, double GRAMMY award winner and cultural innovator. From global performances to commissioning new works and inspiring future generations, this special event offers rare insight into her life and legacy. 13 March 2026, 7.30pm, Cowdray Hall.
Toolbox Orchestra
Berlin’s Toolbox Orchestra brings a playful, vintage-inspired sound to Aberdeen Jazz Festival in their first Scottish appearance. Originally formed using workshop tools as instruments, this all-female ensemble blends the spirit of 1920s and 1930s music with a fresh, joyful energy. A family-friendly performance, with under-5s free.

Jazz For Kids!
A lively, interactive music workshop for children aged 2–11, introducing instruments, upbeat rhythms and the joy of live performance. This relaxed, family-friendly event is designed to get everyone moving.
Adults must attend with children.
