About The Cock and Bull

The Cock and Bull has been owned by the same family since 1996, when it was transformed from a traditional watering hole into a cosy, intimate inn serving honest food in beautiful surroundings.

Included in the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs guide, everything is prepared on-site using fresh, local ingredients, with a seasonally changing menu complemented by the chef’s specials. Winner of numerous awards—including Grampian Chef of the Year (2004, 2009, 2014) and Scottish Gastropub of the Year (2012–2014)—the Cock and Bull has been described by judges as “a quintessential gastro pub, popular with locals, offering great service, natural ambience, genuine warmth, superb food, and a menu brimming with local produce.

The pub is also a proud recipient of an AA Rosette. Guests can enjoy meals in the informal Conservatory, the cosy Lounge with a log fire, or the chic, contemporary Restaurant. Responding to frequent requests for overnight stays, the Cock and Bull now offers accommodation next to the restaurant in the newly refurbished Blairton Cottage.

Perfect for both business and leisure visitors, the cottage provides everything you need for a comfortable night, with breakfast available in your room, in the restaurant, or in your private garden.
