Dess Waterfall

About Dess Waterfall

Start your journey at the Old Smiddy (maps of the routes and other walks in area can be found in the phone box outside for reference), walking west along the main road to Pitmurchie Road. Roughly 200m up this road you will see a signpost for the Deeside Way. As you trek the Deeside Way route you will pass houses and fields on either side. You will come to a steep hill and as you descend you will pass a little hut on your right hand side amongst the trees. Continue along this path before veering downhill through a section of cleared forest. When you reach the bottom of this route you will come to a wooden fence which will have a marker indicating that Dess Waterfall is around the corner on the right. From here you will catch your first glimpse of the hidden gem that is Dess Waterfall.
