Craigen Cottage, a very charming, traditional pink- granite holiday cottage, is set within a fully enclosed and beautiful picket-fenced garden, and is located in the very heart of the picturesque Royal Deeside village of Ballater. Perfectly placed and in easy walking distance to visit the Royal appointed independent shops, coffee houses, fine dining restaurants, art galleries, Ballater Golf Course and River Dee. In addition, there are numerous sporting and outdoor leisure pursuits in close reach, here in the Cairngorms National Park, including hillwalking, cycling, fishing, golf or skiing, at Glenshee or The Lecht; Ballater is also the closest village to beautiful Balmoral Castle, holiday home to the Royal Family since Victorian times. The cosy cottage interior is designed in modern vintage style with gorgeous fabrics, local Scottish artwork and wooden oak floorboards. Craigen comfortably sleeps up to six people in three individually- themed double bedrooms, one conveniently located on the ground floor. With a spacious well- equipped dining kitchen, living room with cosy wood burner, Wi-Fi and Sky TV, a bathroom with over shower and separate shower room downstairs, complete the comfortable accommodation. Outside relax and enjoy the fully enclosed private front and very sunny, rear gardens, there are several seating areas with patio furniture and a pretty summer house. Children's toys and books are available for younger guests and a travel cot and highchair on request. There is lockable storage outside for any sports equipment or bikes you may wish to bring.
