About Orquesta Boreal (Aberdeen Jazz Festival - The Lemon Tree
One of Scotland’s most dynamic salsa ensembles, Orquestra Boreal (formerly Latina Turners Orchestra) brings the heat of Latin dance music to the Lemon Tree. Emerging from a popular residency at The Jazz Bar in Edinburgh, the band has grown into a standout force with a powerful lineup and a vibrant, high-energy sound. The full 10-piece band will feature a horn section and multiple singers for their Aberdeen debut.
Their reputation now stretches beyond Scotland, with several members performing with the renowned Mambo Orchestra International. This performance features special guest Lino Rocha, adding even more flair to an already electric band.
Starts with a 45 minute Dance Class on basic Salsa and Merengue steps open to all, followed by live band performance until 10pm.
Expect irresistible rhythms and the sound of Havana by moonlight.
Starts 7pm
