Whitehills Marina

About Whitehills Marina

Whitehills Marina is an award-winning, village-owned marina on the Banffshire coast of northeast Scotland, offering excellent facilities for visiting sailors in a beautiful part of the country. Its ideal location provides the opportunity for day sails to Inverness, Peterhead, or Wick.Whitehills Harbour Trust was established by an Act of Parliament in 1895 to build and manage the harbour. Since its completion in 1900, the harbour has been owned by the villagers and managed by nine elected Commissioners.Once a highly successful commercial fishing port, Whitehills experienced a decline in income in the late 1990s due to changes in the fishing industry. Responsibility for the harbour remains with Whitehills Harbour Trust, and in 1999, the Commissioners voted to develop it as a leisure marina.
