Silk Art WorkshopsSycamore Hall was the home of the former Erroll School, built by the Earl and Countess of Errol in 1834. Angie's art studio, "Of Sea and Land," is situated in the old school toilets, and a day or half-day silk art workshop can be booked on request. Welcome!Sycamore Hall is a spacious, comfortably furnished, fully equipped self-catering property. One of Scotland’s historic buildings, it is the converted classroom of the former Erroll School. Category B listed, it retains many original features while offering a modern, light, and airy atmosphere.There is a large entrance porch with a full shower room and plenty of space for outdoor equipment and clothing. The ground floor is open plan, with a fully fitted kitchen including freezer and dishwasher, a dining area, and a comfortable lounge with a double sofa bed available on request (extra cost). A spiral staircase leads to the upper floor, which has a shower room with toilet and two bedrooms—one twin room and a larger bedroom that can be configured as a twin or a king-size double, with space for a child bed or cot. The larger bedroom features a unique glass wall using the original classroom screens. Bedding, towels, and toiletries are provided.The large garden has picnic benches with views of Slains Castle and the sea. A portable BBQ and equipment are available for guest use.Ideal for families or golfing groups, the property sleeps 4–6 guests. Child bed, baby travel cot, stair gate, baby bath, and high chair are available on request at no extra cost. Allergy-free; pets are not allowed. No smoking.Situated half a mile south of the village of Cruden Bay on the northeast coast of Scotland, the property is ideal for exploring the castle, coast, and whisky trails, bird watching at Loch of Strathbeg, Forvie Nature Reserve, and Bullers of Buchan, seal watching at Newburgh, and golfing at one of the many famous courses within an hour's travel. Outdoor enthusiasts will find the location ideal.Please note that a day between stays is allowed for cleaning and sanitising the property in accordance with current regulations, using recommended professional cleaning products.
