Stonehaven Harbour was first built prior to 1607 but was destroyed by storms.

The museum has a number of artefacts associated with Stonehaven's heritage, many with an association with the days when the building served as a prison.

Located on the northern harbour wall in Stonehaven and enjoying stunning views across the picturesque harbour, sits one of Scotland's best seafood restaurants.

Excellent home-cooked meals are served in the Captain’s Table Restaurant – offering splendid harbour views through floor-to-ceiling windows – the cosy bar, and, weather permitting, the outside terrace overlooking the harbour.
