About Shepherd's Loch

Shepherd’s Loch is an off-grid glamping site set on a working farm in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside. Guests can enjoy a stay in one of our unique, rustic huts nestled around six small lochs.Accommodation options include:Crannoch – a yurt at the water’s edge with its own hot tub (adults only).Otter – built into a hillside with a large round window overlooking the main loch.Dragonfly – a wooden wigwam with a private yard.Graham’s Bothy – a mini house with a hot tub and veranda overlooking a loch.Beehive – a yurt paired with a hexagonal wooden hut with windows on all sides.The Wheel House – a converted ship’s wheelhouse, complete with the original ship’s wheel.Children are welcome in all accommodation except Crannoch, and families can rent the site for special occasions. Dogs are permitted in all huts except the yurts.Guests can fish on the top loch, which is stocked with trout, enjoy kayaking, or explore scenic walks. There is also a children’s play area and a communal Fishing Hut with table games. Farm visits can be arranged on request.Each hut is self-contained with its own kitchenette, toilet, shower, wood burner, camping stove, barbecue, and cool box or fridge. Bedding, towels, cooking pots, and crockery are provided.Much of the accommodation is built from recycled materials. Power is generated sustainably with our waterwheel and solar panels, producing a 12V electricity supply.Short Term Let Licence Number: AS-00375P
