Built by, and home to, the Urquhart family since 1604, Craigston is located on the North-East coast of Scotland considered by National Geographic to be one of the most beautiful coast lines in the world. Craigston Castle can be rented on an exclusive self-catering basis usually from May to October from £3,000 per week. Weekend breaks, 3 nights are also available from £ 2,000. Craigston can accommodate 10 people in 5 bedrooms, each beautifully decorated with period furniture including original four-poster beds. Each room has its own bathroom. In the evening you can sit by a roaring log fire in the drawing room and enjoy a good whisky from one of the many local distilleries. The castle has a fully equipped traditional kitchen, with modern appliances for self catering. Meals can be eaten in the kitchen, the dining room or in the Colonial Room. Your hosts can help you choose from the best local produce: game, lamb and Highland beef; fish from nearby Macduff; and seasonal vegetables. Some outdoor activities can be organized in the castle grounds, such as clay pigeon shooting, archery, bush craft activities ... Extras that can be arranged include: caterers, maid service, baby-sitting, food shopping, airport pick up / drop off, etc.
