About Rosemount Local Area Trail
Welcome to Rosemount, a vibrant quarter of Aberdeen filled with shops, cafés, restaurants, and a rich history. Part of the area was historically gifted to the burgesses and people of Aberdeen by a grateful King Robert the Bruce in 1315. Until the city was extended in 1862, Rosemount lay outside the city boundary. Before becoming part of Aberdeen, the area consisted of open fields with a few substantial gentlemen’s houses and farm buildings. Enjoy exploring Rosemount and discovering all it has to offer.
