Murcar Links Golf Club

The clubhouse offers excellent facilities, including changing rooms, showers, and full bar and catering services, available all day from April to September (with more limited services during the off-season). The course features some unpredictable bounces off the crumpled fairways, along with burns and the occasional blind shot to navigate. The signature hole is the seventh—a 423-yard par four, ominously named Serpentine. From an elevated tee, the drive must clear a winding burn, with a ravine on the right and heavy rough on the left, all while towering dunes loom on every side. Murcar Links Golf Club, originally designed by Archie Simpson and later revised by James Braid, is set on a classic stretch of links land. With massive sand dunes, undulating fairways, and areas rich with whins and heather, the course offers some truly magnificent views of the North Sea.
