Lickleyhead Castle

Lickleyhead Castle is a 16th-century Grade A listed building located in the heart of Aberdeenshire. The entire castle is exclusively available to paying guests, providing accommodation for large groups. The property features eight bedrooms, sleeping 16 adults plus two young children. For smaller parties, you can rent a single wing: the West Wing with six bedrooms or the East Wing with two bedrooms.In addition to the bedrooms, the castle includes nine bathrooms and washrooms, a dining room, a large kitchen, a music room, a games room, a living room, and the impressive great hall. Amenities include two usable fireplaces, a grand piano, a pool table, a library, and complimentary drams of whisky for guests staying in the laird’s room.Within the castle grounds is the Gardener's Cottage, about 30 meters from the main building. The cottage has three bedrooms, sleeping six adults, two bathrooms, a large kitchen/dining room, and a cozy living room. Together, the castle and cottage can accommodate up to 22 guests.Lickleyhead Castle is ideal for micro-weddings of up to 30 people, specializing in destination weddings, vow renewals, and elopements. Guests have the option to stay at the castle for a night or two before and after their special day.The exterior of Lickleyhead is breathtaking, surrounded on three sides by flowing water from the fore and back burns and a woodland that has been allowed to grow naturally for centuries. Wildlife such as red squirrels and eagles can often be seen from the windows. Ample parking is available on the wide driveway.
