Your visit to Leith Hall is by guided tour, offering a fascinating insight into the changing aspirations, needs, and tastes of the Leith-Hay family over the centuries. The house itself is quirky and curious, reflected in its worldwide collections on display. There is also a military exhibition telling the story of generations of military men.Outside, the beautiful garden is one of the Trust’s hidden gems. From the top of the garden, enjoy spectacular views of Aberdeenshire and the surrounding hills. You can view grey herons and many different wildfowl from the bird hide at the upper pond, enjoy a picnic on the lawn while taking in the beautiful surroundings, and visit the shop for a great selection of gifts and local products.Only assistance dogs are allowed in the garden. Dogs are welcome on the estate but must be kept on a lead near livestock. Disabled access is limited to the ground floor, which includes access to the shop.Built in 1650, Leith Hall is located in Aberdeenshire. Once a family home and military hospital, it is now a much-loved National Trust property. Closely resembling a French chateau, the hall offers a range of public rooms perfect for atmospheric dinners for up to 32 guests and champagne receptions for up to 40. Outside, the manicured lawns, walled garden, and extensive grounds are ideal for larger events such as company BBQs and team-building activities. For maximum versatility, marquees can be hired to cater for up to 750 guests. Whisky tastings and tutorials can also be arranged with the neighbouring Ardmore Distillery.
