About Kings Links Golf Course

Kings Links is a traditional Scottish 18-hole links course running parallel to Aberdeen’s beachfront—a true representation of classic links golf.

Golf has been played on this stretch of land between the Rivers Don and Dee since 1661, then known as "Goffe." The current par 71, 6,289-yard course features a sandy surface, numerous bunkers, and extremely fast greens, offering a challenging test for any golfer.

Despite its coastal location, the course layout—woven through natural dunes—provides a scenic, sheltered, and enjoyable round of golf.

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club

The Society of Golfers in Aberdeen is recorded as being established in 1780, though it is likely that golf was played on the ‘Auld Town Links’ of Aberdeen well before this date. After a short hiatus, members of the early society formed The Aberdeen Golf Club in 1815.
