Grampian Transport Museum

About Grampian Transport Museum

Located in the lively village of Alford, just 45 minutes from Aberdeen, the museum showcases a diverse collection of transport exhibits—from 1800s chariots to some of the fastest cars ever made. Each season, about a third of the displays change. This year’s highlights include “Kings’ Cars,” featuring the royal family’s first car, and “It’s Electric,” exploring the history and future of electric vehicles. Popular favourites like the MACK Snowplough, Billy Connolly’s Boom Lowrider motortrike, and the ex-Grampian Police Rover SD1 Vitesse are also on display. The cosy ‘Travellers Rest’ Tea Room offers hot drinks, light lunches, freshly made sandwiches, cakes, and tray bakes—perfect for a relaxing break during your visit.
