Balnahard Farm

Amongst the hills of Finzean, Deeside, lies Balnahard Farm. A 200-acre tenant farm, home to a beautiful fold of Highland cows and their calves. The farm has been part of the Christie/Harper family for generations and is now run by Euan Christie, with the support of his partner, Ashleigh.
We are delighted to welcome visitors to experience life on our working farm and spend time with our much-loved Highland cattle. Our small-group experiences offer the opportunity to meet, feed, brush, and interact with our cows and calves while taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Finzean hills.

Your visit begins with a ride in our farm vehicle to the hill ground, where our cattle live in their natural environment. Along the way, you'll learn about the farm, our Highland cows, and the local history of the area. During your experience, you'll also have the chance to enjoy a selection of fine pieces, supplied by Finzean Farm Shop.

Our aim is to provide a relaxed, authentic, and memorable experience that allows you to connect with both the animals and the surrounding landscape, with several picture opportunities. Every one of our Highland cows has its own unique personality, and we look forward to introducing you to them.

To ensure a personal and enjoyable experience, we currently welcome groups of up to six guests per visit.

Children are very welcome; however, we kindly ask that pets are not brought onto the farm.

For health and safety reasons, we also advise that anyone who is pregnant does not participate in this experience.
