["With a studio based by the River Dee in the North East of Scotland, Lucys work is inspired by the dramatic landscapes and seascapes close to the studio. The unique textiles she designs and weaves are created by blending heritage craft techniques with contemporary design. Hand weaving with natural fibres on multi-shaft looms, rug tufting and natural dyeing are just a few of the techniques she uses. As Lucy transitions her practice towards a fully traceable and sustainable approach, she hopes that her designs will connect you with this special place and tell you a story through pattern and colour.
