Old Blind Dogs - The Barn

On the go for over thirty years, Old Blind Dogs are still one of
the hottest live tickets on the traditional Scottish music scene and have been
inducted to BBC Alba's Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame.

Now on their fourteenth studio album, the latest release
‘Knucklehead Circus’ is a joyous, uplifting record full of compelling energy
And intoxicating rhythm on which the band continue to innovate tradition while
Faithfully revealing its essence.

Old Blind Dogs began in Aberdeen in 1992 with roots that grew from
the eclectic music scene that was flourishing in the Granite City at that time.
The musicians, all from different musical backgrounds, came together to create
a full-time band with the aim of showcasing the rich tradition of Scottish
songs on an international stage. Like many of the early flag bearing Scottish
folk bands, the Old Blind Dogs have faced inevitable changes over the years but
the core values at the band’s musical heart continue to beat strong. The
current line up consists of original members Jonny Hardie, Aaron Jones, Donald
Hay, and now joined by the brilliant Mike Katz (formerly of The Battlefield
Band).
