About Goldy Looking Chain - Aberdeen Art Gallery
Dance artist Julia McGhee presents a sharing of her current work-in-progress, 'Goldy'. Visitors are invited to experience this multidisciplinary arts project that continues to develop through collaboration, place and community.
At the heart of the work is an evolving character known as 'Goldy' - an abstract, shape-shifting form created using a huge, gold space blanket. Through dance and immersive sound, 'Goldy' explores how movement, light and environment interact.
This sharing marks the next stage in the project's development, following creative residencies at Dance Base in Edinburgh, Outerspaces in Dundee, and an outdoor Highland residency in Easter Ross with project collaborators Niamh O'Loughlin and Lucas Chih-Peng Kao.
