About Sound Festival: Mimi Doulton: Works for Soprano and Electronics - The Lemon Tree
Mimi Doulton (sopran) amd Jonathan Higgins (sound)
Ten years after the UK’s vote to leave the EU, five artists reflect on a decade of change through music and film. Featuring three new commissions for soprano Mimi Doulton and a documentary exploring voices from the Balkans, the programme examines identity, migration, conflict, nationalism, unity and what it means to be European.
A co-operation between sound, Spitalfields Festival and New Music Dublin. Supported by the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung, PRS Foundation Beyond Borders funding, the Marchus Trust, Kulka, the Vaughan Williams Foundation, and Arts Council Ireland.
