Evan Hansen is a lonely high schooler struggling with severe social anxiety. When a private letter meant for his therapist is found with a classmate who died by suicide, Evan is mistaken for the boy’s secret best friend. Trying to bring comfort to the grieving parents, Evan fuels the lie and accidentally becomes a social media sensation. Taken in by the grieving family, he starts to feel connected and loved by a family he’s never had. Though, when the truth starts to unravel, Evan must face the pain he has created, reconcile his relationship with his mother and embrace his own troubles until he finally feels Found.
