Nuart Aberdeen 2026 artist Alisa Oleva will explore the city of Aberdeen in her own unique way in these exclusive art walks.

Saturday 25th April at 5pm: Write to the city

This art walk with Alisa Oleva will explore the city as a poetic text which we can read and how we can write back to the city: our dreams, our hopes, our desires, our stories. We will walk and engage in walking prompts that will allow us to notice what usually stays unnoticed and to read the city through the cracks and the footsteps.

Sunday 26th April: Listen to the city whispers

This art walk with Alisa Oleva will invite you to tune in your ears to what you can hear and what remains unheard in the city. Do you hear its humming and its rhythm? Do you hear your own footsteps as you walk the streets? Do you hear how the city calls you? We will walk and listen, walk and talk and walk and whisper.

Walks will depart from outside Aberdeen Art Gallery, lasting approximately 90 minutes and will take place come rain or shine. We suggest comfortable shoes and clothing for all weathers! The routes may include uneven paths and staircases and attendees should be conscious of slip or trip hazards.

Please be aware those attending this art walk are responsible for their own safety during the tour. Roads will not be closed on the route and cars/other pedestrians may need to pass. Please exercise due caution when crossing roads and use pedestrian crossings where possible.

All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children should remain beside parents/carers at all times.
