The Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon 2026 - Balgownie Playing Fields

A brand-new charity event is coming to Aberdeen this Spring, promising laughter, high spirits and flying dodgeballs!

The Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon is a new community tournament organised by SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) in partnership with Aberdeen Sports Village and The University of Aberdeen.

Together, they're encouraging the local community across Grampian to enter teams of 4 to 6 players for this friendly, knock-out tournament – with the title of 2026 Champions up for grabs.

Think of a catchy team name - the ‘Dodgeball Dons’ or ‘Doric Dodgers’ perhaps - and get ready to dodge, duck and dive whilst looking forward to:

- Epic team dodgeball action
- Family activities, games and challenges
- Live entertainment and music
- Delicious food and drink stalls

Further Details and How to Enter:

There's no dodgeball experience, training plan or Olympian fitness required - all you'll need is banter, energy and a healthy dose of competitive spirit.

Everyone in the community can enter a team (4 to 6 players per team).

All the funds raised from this charity event will support SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) and our mental health services. So, if you’ve ever wanted an excuse to throw things at your colleagues, pals or family members in the name of a good cause - now's your chance.
