About All Shook Up School Edition - The Tivoli Theatre
Aberdeen Junior Youth Music Theatre are going back in time to the era of “Rock n’ Roll” with this high energy musical. Inspired by Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” and based on the songs of Elvis Presley, “All Shook Up” is about following dreams, mistaken identity and opening up to love.
Young rebel, Chad, who has just been released from jail, arrives into a small conservative town which is under the repressive influence of Mayor Matilda and a very timid Sherriff Earl. She has banned anything she considers immoral and Chad finds himself the centre of attention when he shows off his hip-swinging dance moves and rock ‘n’ roll songs to the townsfolk. Car Mechanic, Natalie, falls for him and determined to get close to him, she disguises herself as “Ed” and befriends Chad which she then finds herself in some unexpected situations. Featuring classic hits such as “Jailhouse Rock”, “Heartbreak Hotel” and “All Shook Up”, we know this heart warming musical will get your “Blue Suede Shoes” tapping!
Inspired by and featuring the songs of ELVIS PRESLEY® Book by JOE DIPIETRO
