William Wallace Statue

About William Wallace Statue

William Grant Stevenson (1849–1919), born in Ratho, Midlothian, and trained at the Royal Scottish Academy, designed this impressive bronze sculpture. Although William Wallace probably never visited Aberdeen, his exploits in the North East of Scotland are recounted in a fanciful tale written 150 years later by his chronicler, Blind Harry.
