The Tippling House

The Tippling House is a subterranean late-night tavern serving boutique spirits, hand-crafted cocktails, fine Scottish ales, and inspired casual dining.

We offer whisky tastings, flights, and whisky-paired dinners five days a week (Tuesday to Saturday), all within an intimate environment perfect for cosy dinners and drinks. The Tippling House serves casual fare in intimate surroundings.

Home-cooked bar snacks, such as Scotch eggs and marinated meats, complement a full à la carte menu using the best local produce and Scottish suppliers.

Having finished as runners-up in the Observer Food Monthly Awards for two years running, we have also earned a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and numerous awards for our bartenders, including Scottish Mixologist of the Year and Scottish Craft Spirits Enthusiast.  The Tippling House was also included in Peter Irvine's Scotland the Best – 12th Edition and named 'Best Bar' in the Aberdeen City & Shire Tourism Awards.

The venue can be hired for pairing dinners, whisky or wine tastings, and other events. Our team of tasting ambassadors, bartenders, and chefs can work to any brief, ensuring your event is executed to the highest standards.
