The McEwan Gallery is a family-run gallery in the Scottish Highlands, specialising in fine Scottish and European paintings from the 17th century to the present. Its eclectic collection spans wildlife, portraits, and landscapes.Founded by Harvard academic Dr Peter McEwan and his wife Dorothy, the gallery has built a strong reputation over 50 years, attracting a loyal clientele both in the UK and internationally. Today, the gallery is run by their son, Rhod McEwan, who trained in art history at university and at Christie’s in London.Housed in the family’s artist-built Swiss-style home, the gallery offers a unique opportunity to view paintings in a home environment, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for clients to explore and discuss the collection.
