In 2005, locally owned PBDevco purchased the 145-year-old B-listed building and transformed it into a chic restaurant and late-night bar. The unique atmosphere combines the building’s historic architecture, colorful stained-glass windows, opulent décor, and modern lighting, making SOUL a truly special destination in Aberdeen. The 200-seater, family-friendly restaurant serves fresh, local, and seasonal food from 12 pm to 9 pm. The bar offers a wide selection of drinks, including deluxe spirits, wines, local beers, soft drinks, and award-winning cocktails, making it an ideal spot for lunch, nibbles, dinner, or drinks. During the day and weekday early evenings, chilled playlists gradually build up to funky house tunes, perfect for casual dining with friends and family. On Friday and Saturday nights, the ambience is vibrant, with live music from house musician Paul Black and resident DJ Liam Gall spinning tunes until the early hours.
