About Nine Stanes of Mulloch Stone Circle

The Nine Stanes of Mulloch Recumbent Stone Circle is located in a woodland clearing. It features a ring cairn surrounded by six upright stones, with a recumbent stone and two flankers, forming the "Nine Stanes." Unlike classic stone circles, the recumbent and flankers are set on the edge of the inner cairn, while the other stones form an oval outer arc (approximately 18 by 14.6 meters). This circle is believed to have been built later in the sequence of Recumbent Stone Circles.Please note, on-site parking is limited and the site is not suitable for coaches or buses.
