McDonald Golf Club

Set in the heart of Aberdeenshire’s countryside, just 16 miles north of Aberdeen, McDonald Golf Club offers a scenic 18-hole parkland course, providing a memorable golfing experience for players of all levels. The course is named after its benefactor, Sir James McDonald, who gifted the woodlands to the people of Ellon in 1926. The original nine-hole layout winds through magnificent woodlands with stately trees and rhododendron bushes, and a natural stream meanders across the first nine holes, adding to the challenge and beauty. In August 2022, McDonald Golf Club welcomed Cuthbert's Catering, with Gordon, Terry, and the team always happy to tailor catering to suit members and visitors.
