Glen Tanar Equestrian Centre

Spectacular horseback riding on riverside, woodland and mountain trails in the heart of Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms National Park. Quality well schooled horses and ponies to suit both experienced and novice riders. One hour rides take you around the loch, over the picturesque Water of Tanar to cross the old golf course, passing the little Chapel of St. Lesmo, then along and through the river and back to the stables for light refreshments. Two hour rides pass along the loch before either heading along a delightful riverside path into the Ancient Wood of Caledon or up through the woods onto Baudy Meg and Black Craig to enjoy exceptional views. Both routes head back to the little Chapel of St. Lesmo, along and through the river before returning to the stables where light refreshments await. Half day, full day and two day trail rides to Glen Esk available for small groups.
