Dunnottar Woods - Forestry Commission Scotland

About Dunnottar Woods - Forestry Commission Scotland

Dunnottar is a wonderful woodland for all the family to enjoy with wildlife, a rich diversity of wild flowers, and many historical features such as Lady Kennedy's Bath, an ice house and the Shell House. Dunnottar was once the Kennedy families woodland, but is now a community woodland for all to enjoy. Enjoy a walk with the family through the spectacular woodland, watch the bodging group turning wood, discover the rich history whilst exploring the woods to find the Shell house, the Ice house, Lady Kennedys bath and Gallows hill. The local community help Forestry Commission Scotland to manage this small wood through the Dunnottar Woodland Park Association. Allow two hours to properly explore it! Directions: Walkers can reach the wood through a number of entrances. Glasslaw car park: Drive south from the centre of Stonehaven on the A957. Just before the A90 there is a small road to your right. The car park is about 20m along this road.
