Aberdeen and District Angling Association

About Aberdeen and District Angling Association

Aberdeen and District Angling Association (www.adaa.org.uk) was formed in 1946 and is one the biggest and most successful of its kind. It has approximately 700 members. It was established after the Second World War to enable access to salmon and trout waters to local residents at a reasonable cost and this still maintains to this day, indeed now membership is open to all regardless of geographical location. The Association now owns or leases over thirty miles of riverbank on the Rivers Dee, Don, Feugh, and Ythan, as well as the Loch of Loirston, and Millpond Fishery which are stocked regularly with rainbow trout. You can watch a great video of some of our most popular beats on the River Don by clicking here: River Don Video. Most of the Associations beats are located in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire, see maps by clicking here: "https://www.adaa.org.uk/beats-and-maps" Maps. Visitor permits are available for persons residing outwith 25 miles of Aberdeen for all of ADAA beats on the River Don and most ADAA beats on the River Ythan. Further information can be found on our website: www.adaa.org.uk
