Susie Leiper's work has always focused upon books, whether in her work as a book editor with a focus on Chinese art, or in her production of artist books, calligraphy, and painting. The book that has had the greatest influence on Leiper in recent years is The Living Mountain by Nan Shepherd; the handwritten and illustrated edition which she has created took over seven years!
