Seafront Cottage
Forget your preconceived idea of a holiday cottage – Seafront Cottage is unique. Situated in the middle of a conservation area, this property was built in 2011 and designed by a local architect to fit in with the 18th and 19th century cottages surrounding it and traditionally built by local builders. Built on the site of a former “net” store, the house has shutters on the gable to make it look like a traditional net store.
However, open up the shutters and you have a 2 metre square window, directly on the seafront, looking out over the Moray Firth. This forms the focal point of the house from inside, a “picture” window that lives up to its name. You can try to spot the dolphins from your sofa! When the tide is in the water is directly below you, and when out the shore clears to leave a beach of sand and then sandstone rocks and pools which become home and feeding grounds to all types of seabirds.
Cosy down for the evening where Seafront Cottage has a wood burning stove and a large wall mounted flat screen television with Freeview. All surrounded by top quality furniture and fittings.
The house is fully central heated with underfloor heating on the ground floor. The built in docking station and integrated sound system gives out a great sound, with a separate control and speaker for the bathroom, so you can soak in the bath listening to your favourite tunes.
