Wild Watercolours Workshop
In this workshop, artist Emma Wilson will guide participants through some simple watercolour exercises to familiarise themselves with the brushes, water and paint and how they interact with each other, before moving on to some observational sketches of the landscape and the plants and flowers in the garden at The Barn. Participants will create lots of sketches and studies before moving onto at least one final painting, but the emphasis will be on practice rather than perfection. Bring a pack lunch for our short break.
Taking inspiration from the seascapes and weather of the North East, silversmith Emma Louise Wilson creates beautiful jewellery and bowls in fine silver and enamel based on her watercolour paintings of the coast.
This workshop is part of FOLD’s Monthly Craft Series. In July & August, we are celebrating "Natural Elements” through a variety of activities. Follow FOLD on Facebook and Instagram for more information.
