Natural Weaving Workshop
During the course of the workshop, participantswill focus on maximising textures and finding our rhythm, while learning the fundamental techniques of weaving.Working directly in the Barn’s wild garden, opens the possibility of closely exploring patterns and colour changes within our natural world. We will investigate hues together and translate these into a framed piece of fibre art to take home. The class is ideal for beginners, as no prior weaving experience is needed.
Stephanie Fradette is the fibre artist behind the brand “Le Petit Moose”, a nod to her French-Canadian roots. The Aberdeenshire-based artist blends bold colours into her woven, knotted and tufted wall hangings, showcasing rich textures, contemporary design and craftsmanship.
This workshop is part of FOLD’s Monthly Craft Series. In July & August, we are celebrating "Natural Elements” through a variety of activities. Follow FOLD on Facebook and Instagram for more information.
