Queer Memories of Aberdeen - A Four Pillars Presentation for LGBTQ+ History Month
Aberdeen Central Library
Rosemount Viaduct
Aberdeen
AB25 1GW
Queer History has recently garnered enough recognition to receive its own month dedicated to the cultural significance of LGBT+ people in our collective memory. The importance of LGBT+ History month is to emphasise learning from the perspective of different communities, especially ones kept on the margins of majority society as well as research.
In the upcoming talk, Four Pillars are joining this session to provide an overview of LGBT+ History in Scotland, its presence in Aberdeen, LGBT+ Pride and questions that this field of history proposes for the present day.
