Aberdeen Bach Choir: Music from Eastern Europe
Aberdeen Bach Choir presents an evening of music from Eastern Europe featuring 20th Century works by Górecki, Pärt, Łukaszewski & Janácek, followed after the interval by a performance of Antonin Dvorák's beautiful Mass in D Major (Op. 86), first performed in 1887. Expect a feast of texture and harmony!
We are delighted to be accompanied once again by Kamil Mika on Organ and we have a fantastic line-up of soloists for the occasion:
Catriona Hewitson (Soprano)
Lea Katherine Shaw (Mezzo-Soprano)
Sam Marston (Tenor)
Ross Cumming (Baritone)
Kamil will also perform Attende Domine by Renata Stivriņa (b. 1985), a piece premiered by Kamil himself at the Marian Sawa Polish Organ Music Festival in 2019 in Kraków, Poland.
