Cairnwell Chairlift at Glenshee
During the summer, Glenshee Ski Centre takes on a new lease of life with the Cairnwell Chairlift.
The Cairnwell Chairlift takes visitors from the Glenshee Ski Centre to the summit of the Cairnwell, the most prominent of a group of three munros on the west side of the Cairnwell Pass.
For 'Munro Baggers' and keen hikers the Cairnwell Chairlift offers visitors access to Scotland's most accessible Munro. The chairlift takes roughly seven minutes to ascend and there is a small climb to reach the summit of Cairnwell from where you get off of the chairlift. From there walkers can continue onward to Carn Aosda and Carn a'Gheoidh to complete The Cairnwell Munro circuit ticking three Munros off the checklist. Alternatively if you'd prefer to walk up the Munro and take the chairlift down you can purchase tickets at the Café beforehand or afterwards if you speak to the lift operator.
The Cairnwell Chairlift can also transport mountain bikes up the mountain so you can enjoy a ride across the mountain tops on the Land Rover track that snakes back to the car park at Glenshee Ski Centre.
