THE PERFECT SCOTTISH RETREAT.

If you are looking for a discreet venue offering luxury accommodation and bespoke service you have just clicked on the ideal location.

Nestling in the heart of the privately owned 428 acre Lower Dess Estate in Royal Deeside, the Mill of Dess Lodge has recently been converted from a cattle barn into one of the finest private venues in Aberdeenshire. Because it is a new build, the Lodge offers the glorious lodging traditionally associated with large Scottish houses - without the draught and damp!

Each of the ten super-king bedrooms is uniquely decorated by renown Scottish designers, has a beautifully appointed private bathroom and is named after one of the 16 salmon pools on the Lower Dess Estate 2 mile fishing beat adjacent to the Lodge. Every bedroom offers Sky TV, Wi-Fi, room safe, hair dryer, complimentary bathroom products by Scottish Fine Soaps and the ultimate in fluffy white robes to ensure their guests’ in-room comfort. All bedding is allergy and dust mite free and each room has a range of soft and firm pillows to meet those individual “Princess and the Pea” needs. There is a generous supply of white towels with an impossibly high GSM rating and lashings of hot water.

The dining and sitting rooms are sufficiently spacious to cater for a full house of 20 guests whilst still providing that cosy and relaxed ambience that their guests value so highly. The Lodge caters for all manner of outdoor pursuits with a huge drying room, world beating boot dryers, gun safes, secure storage and a rod room.

Even the dogs are provided for with a kennel block next to the Lodge.

The Lodge is fully staffed and catered. Their wonderful Lodge Manager Anna and her team work with each party to meet their individual requirements.

The secluded and tranquil setting of the Lodge provides the perfect location for undisturbed private or corporate events and yet it remains within touching distance of Aberdeen and transport links of all kinds.

“I have stayed in many Scottish lodges over the years. The Mill of Dess Lodge has to be the best thought out and most comfortable of them all. A triumph!”

“Everything Was First Class. A short note to say how impressed I was by my first visit to your Mill of Dess Lodge. I chaired a meeting of the Scottish Partners of Strutt & Parker at Mill of Dess and everything was first class. Plenty of parking, privacy, beautifully looked after, cosy and it was ideal for our meeting”

Andrew Rettie, Partner, Strutt & Parker

“15 out of 10 for a stunning relaxing few days. Cannot fault our visit. Beautiful setting. Amazing "house" and Anna is way up there as the perfect hostess. Lovely home cooked food. Thank you and we will be back” Nicole Johnston
