Pieces From A Broken Land - Victoria Fifield
"This is a unique place. It's impossible to know what to expect before you arrive." This was more or less the only advice artist/designer/musician Victoria Fifield was given before embarking on a year long adventure living and working in the Occupied West Bank in Israel/Palestine. Having never lived abroad before and armed only with a couple of words of Arabic and a violin, she quickly discovered this advice was absolutely correct.
Her exhibition of mixed media art and accompanying book aim to reflect some of her observations and experiences in this complex, contentious, completely unique place.
