Festival! Blues Afternoon: Blind Boy Paxton, The Troublemakers

He has been acclaimed as the most sensational newcomer in the blues in many years. He plays banjo, fiddle, guitar, piano and a handful of other instruments and mixes it all in the true songster tradition: ragtime, hokum, old time, French reels, Appalachian mountain music, blues and lots more.

The Troublemakers close the show. Blues n’Trouble front-men, Tim Elliot and Sandy Tweeddale, together with bassist Lawrie MacMillian play a set of rollicking boogie and blues.

This concert is part of FESTIVAL! – a pop-up festival in Aberdeen from 16th to 19th November and a partnership between Edinburgh International Film Festival, Edinburgh International Science Festival and Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Jazz Scotland and Aberdeen Jazz Festival.
