Rainbow Kiss Rehearsed Reading

As part of our Artist Development Programme, we are presenting a rehearsed reading of Simon Farquhar's play.
A rehearsed reading is a reading of a play rather than a staging. The actors will have scripts in had and will have sent the day working with a director before sharing their work in the evening.
This play, although set in Aberdeen, has never, to our knowledge, been performed in Aberdeen.
In his Aberdeen flat, a young man stakes everything on a one-night stand. But does she care?
Rainbow Kiss is a play about life in the Granite City, a world where work is meaningless and emasculating, where drink and drugs are the only painkillers, and where cheap sex can cost you everything.
This is Simon Farquhar's first play for the Royal Court Theatre, where it premiered in April 2006.
