Masterclass : Bookbinding with Michael Waight
Join artist and master printmaker Michael Waight for a creative bookbinding workshop. You will be lead through various techniques,binding types, tools and materials available. The day will focus on creatingtwo types of book structures; the long stitch through a slotted cover and a stitch-freeblizzard book. This is the perfect workshop for anyone looking to embark on a bookbinding journey. All materials will be provided and bring a pack lunch for our break.
Michael Waight is a former Peacock Visual Arts’ master printmaker and has collaborated with celebrated artists such as Ralph Steadman, Barbara Rae and Frances Walker. He has maintained his own artistic practice, merging many forms of printmaking practice, drawing and collage to create abstract images of nature.
