Huntly Hairst Food and Farming Festival
A community festival featuring a wide variety of things to see and to do which are all connected to the culture and life of Huntly's farming community. Local musicians provide the backdrop to a series of literature and foodie events. Among competitions for cooking and baking the hotly contested World Stovies Championships seeks to crown a new victor.
The Huntly Hairst Festival is a unique annual harvest festival event taking place in the heart of the market town of Huntly. This family focused event, established in 2002, celebrates the very best of North East food and the farming traditions of Aberdeenshire, and now it is back for 2020!
With something for everyone, from an extended Farmers Market with over 90 independent stalls showcasing the best of local produce and crafts to cookery demonstrations and competitions including the World Stovies Championship.
Kids can enjoy the tea party or the cooking classes, while the adults can dive into the art of cocktail making and try various craft beers. And not to miss out on The Room To Run 5k, 10k and Half Marathon that is hugely popular every year.
