CLYDE DUO
The Clyde Duo consists of Irish flautist, Aisling Agnew, and Welsh Harpist, Sharron Griffiths, who met while working together at St Andrews University in 2010. They share a passion for performing music from the vast beautiful harp and flute repertoire, which they will share in Finzean Church on Sunday 13th April 2025 at 2.30pm
Both musicians have a busy professional career, playing regularly with many of our major orchestras.
In Finzean, they plan to play a varied program:-
Chevalier de Saint-George: Sonata for harp & flute obbligato
Lili Boulanger: Nocturne
Gioachino Rossini: Andante con Varionizi
Nino Rota: Sonata for Flute and Harp
Interval
Francois Borne / Georges Bizet: Carmen Fantasie
John Thomas: Watching the Wheat
Eddie McGuire: Three Chinese Dances
Greg Caffrey: The Uses of Not
Hamilton Harty: In Ireland
The audience thought that it was one of our
best concerts ever. Your playing is quite breathtaking,
not only in virtuosity but also in beauty"
