Whether you prefer to ride on the road, explore mountain bike trails or a go on a more leisurely cycle, get on your bike see some famous Scottish landmarks. This is a place for epic adventures, bikepacking and multi-day explorations.

Be stirred by the mountain and river views as you ride along the 41 mile-long Deeside Way. A tour that starts in the city can quickly lead you deep in to the heart of the countryside, where Royal Deeside meets the Cairngorms National Park.  

Here you can venture off the beaten track and be challenged with legendary routes and tough climbs through the Cairngorms National Park and towards our ski centres high in the mountains. If you’re looking for some adventure, you’re definitely in the right place. Follow in the tracks of the racers as you take on the ‘enduro’ trails at Hill of Fare, Pitfichie and Drumtochty.

And if you prefer to be beside the seaside, try cycling through our quaint coastal towns and villages.   Enjoy the sea breeze as you pass the iconic ruins of Dunnottar Castle on an Aberdeenshire coastal route or travel via the historic manor of Haddo House through the Banffshire Coast.

No matter where you end up on your cycling expedition, you’ll never be far from a warming cuppa and fine-piece (Doric for cake) at one of our cycling-friendly cafes.
